I developed a black garlic addiction a few years back and instead of paying $7 for a single head, I got this machine. Does it break my rule to not buy kitchen gear that only does one thing? Yes. Is it worth it? YES. You can make natto and yogurt in here too apparently, but I’ve only used it for black garlic. I like to set it for 9 days, and I find that the black garlic actually improves after sitting in the fridge for a few weeks. WARNING: for the love of God, do not use it inside your house or garage or you will saturate your walls with garlic smell. Mine sits outside under the eaves of the house while its cooking.
