The Montague Bookmill

Western Massachusetts. This is a place of magic. Their tagline is “books you don’t need in a place you can’t find” which is basically a description of heaven to me. It’s in an old mill, perched above a river—glorious to listen to as you wander and browse through the warren of rooms. I went to college nearby and the hours we spent posted up in the Lady Killigrew cafe, or in the saggy armchairs tucked in corners overlooking the river is pretty much the apex of nostalgia for me
